Grunnleggende

I Elvenar er det 5 enhetstyper for hver rase som kan låses opp og trenes i brakkene. Begge rasene har også 10 delte enheter som kan låses opp og trenes i leiesoldatleiren og treningsfeltet. Enhetene til alvene og menneskene har jevnbyrdig styrke, men deres taktiske stil er litt forskjellig. Begge raser vil begynne med lette nærkampsenheter. Hovedforskjellen mellom alvene og menneskene når det angår disse enhetene er at menneskene gjør mer skade men har svakere forsvar, mens alvene igjen er litt mer balanserte.

Begge raser får også tilgang til lette distanseenheter, magikere, tunge nærkampsenheter og tunge distanseenheter ved en senere anledning.

I tillegg vil besøk av provinser på verdenskartet gi deg muligheten til å oppdage andre enheter du kan kjempe mot. Disse enhetene avhenger sterkt av hvilken type provins det er, og hvor langt unna den er fra byen din.

Bortsett fra den første enheten, som er låst opp med det samme du låser opp brakkene, vil alle andre enhetene måtte låses opp med en separat teknologi i forskningsmenyen. Du kan også forbedre alle dine troppers evner ved å forske på den passende "forfremmelsen".

Når du har bygget brakkene kan du ta en nærmere titt på hver eneste enhet, til og med de låste enhetene, ved å trykke på de respektive infoikonene Info. Ved å trykke på den, vil den følgende enhetsinformasjonen vises:

1 Enhetsnivå Enhetsnivå Hver enhet har et nivå som indikeres av antallet stjerner enheten har. I hæroppsettvinduet kan du se disse stjernene under enhetenes bilder.
2 Enhetstype - Hver enhet har en type som er tilordnet en spesifikk gruppe.
3 Enhetsgruppe - Hver gruppe beskriver den taktiske hovedgruppen en enhetstype hører til.
4 Best mot - Her vil du kunne se hvilke enhetsgrupper denne enheten har en sterk bonus mot. Dette kan være en angrepsbonus og/eller forsvarsbonus. Hvis du holder musepekeren din over ikonet vil du få mer informasjon. Dess flere sverd jo bedre!
5 Skade Skade Skadeverdien av et angrep blir avgjort tilfeldig ut fra enhetens skaderekkevidde.
6 Helsepoeng Helsepoeng Helsepoeng per enhet.
7 Angrepsrekkevidde Angrepsrekkevidde Dette er den maksimale distansen en enhets angrep kan nå.
8 Bevegelsesrekkevidde Bevegelsesrekkevidde Dette er antallet felt en enhet kan bevege seg på 1 runde.
9 Initiativ Initiativ Enheten med det høyeste initiativet vil handle tidligere i slagsrunden.
10 Vekt Vekt Enhetstypene har forskjellig vekt. Dess større vekt, jo færre enheter er nødvendig for å fylle en tropp. Dess større vekt, jo vanskeligere er det å drepe en enhet i troppen, under kamp.
11 Slå tilbake Slå tilbake Denne evnen tillater en enhet å automatisk slå tilbake etter å ha blitt angrepet i nærkamp. Nummeret på ferdigheten viser hvor mange ganger enheten kan slå tilbake per runde.
12 Spesialevner - Dette er trylleformler eller spesielle ekstraeffekter for angrep. Hvis du beveger musepekeren din over dette ikonet, vil beskrivelsen for spesialevnen vises.


Enhetsgrupper

I Elvenar vil du finne 5 enhetsgrupper: Lette nærkampsenheter, lette distanseenheter, magikere, tunge nærkampsenheter og tunge distanseenheter.

Hver enhetsgruppe er tilordnet en bestemt mengde enhetstyper. Eksempelvis tilhører sverddansere, øksebarbarer, kerberos, og orker, alle til den samme enhetsgruppen (lett nærkampsenhet), til tross for at de er forskjellige enhetstyper. De er alle lette nærkampsenheter, så til tross for at de har forskjellige kampstrategier, vil de likevel ha lignende verdier på helsepoeng, skade, angrepsbonuser og forsvarsbonuser.

Tung nærkampsenhet Heavy melee.png Nærkampsenhet som er tungt pansret (veldig god HP, svak skade)
Tung distanseenhet Long ranged.png Spesiell distanseenhet (f. eks. med distanseangrep men samtidig med rustning, eller med lange tunge skudd og ekstremt lav HP) med noe beskyttelse mot kortdistanseenheter.


Spesielle evner

Noen enheter kan bruke trylleformler for å svekke en fiendes forsvar, som vil øke skaden som blir gjort mot dem av de påfølgende enhetene. Andre har evnen til å redusere fiendens angrepsstyrke, for å beskytte dine tropper. Disse ferdighetene kan stables oppå hverandre for å gjøre ennå mer skade eller ta ennå mindre skade.
